HPG discloses the killing of 8 Turkish Occupation soldiers

The HPG Media Centre published a statement to public opinion regarding attacks by the Turkish Occupation Army on legitimate defense zones and, it was confronted by Guerilla fighters

The statement affirmed that "operations are carried out within the framework of the" It's Time for Freedom "campaign, and that resistance against the occupiers continues on air and land."

The broader information regarding operations, according to the statement, are:
"In the Air Defense of the martyr Dalal, our forces carried out raids targeting positions of the Turkish occupation army on the hill of  Zindora, in the Metîna region.

Operations took place on May 9^th in the hours: 7.30, 8.15 and 9.40, achieving their intended objectives. "

The statement continued, "As part of the Zagros Revolutionary Hawks Campaign, an operation was carried out on 7 May, at 12.40 minutes, our troops were targeted by Specific Operation of Turkish Occupation Soldiers at the Martyr's Hill Delkish in Avaşîn area, resulting in the death of an occupying soldier.

On the same day, at 18.30 hours, our forces targeted a Turkish occupation post on the Shaheen martyr's hill in the Xakurke area. The operation began with the targeting of a point where two soldiers were stationed for the occupation, and resulted in the immediate deaths of the soldiers, expanding by targeting other points on the hill, resulting in the death of four other soldiers and the destruction of a radar device that was stationed at the top of the hill.

The operation was carried out in retaliation of the martyr Mam Rasho, and resulted in the death of 6 soldiers in the Turkish Occupation Army. After the operation, the Turkish Occupation launched a missile attack in the vicinity of the operation site. At 20.00 hours, our fighters targeted another Turkish Occupation soldier and were transported by helicopter from the site.

On May 8^th, at 8.30 a.m., our fighters targeted Turkish Occupation soldiers, who attempted to advance on the hill of the martyr Akin, after which one occupation soldier was killed and withdrew from the area. "

'Attacks on legitimate defense zones'

The HPG statement noted that the Turkish occupation army carried out attacks on legitimate defense zones. "On May 7^th, between 19.30 and 22.00 hours, helicopters flew over areas of Avaşîn and Mam Rasho Castle.

Between 12.35 and 13.15 hours, warplanes targeted Metîna area and bombed Zindora hill.

On 8 May, at 16.30 hours, warplanes bombed the village of Gree in the Miroki district of Gare, in addition to the village of Kisti in Metîna areas, and the vicinity of Lake Lolani in the Xakurke region.

HPG confirmed that the Turkish bombardment had not harmed its fighters.
