A report by Acting Inspector General of the US Department of Defense, Sean O'Donnell, said, "During this quarter, Russia has continued to violate the disengagement operations that the coalition and Russia established in north and east Syria to prevent an unintended escalation," according to TASS Russian agency.

The report says: "While Russian forces committed to a large extent with operations to prevent clashes, violations increased slightly compared to the previous quarter."

According to the US military, the kinds of alleged violations include the addition of an additional vehicle to the pre-arranged patrols, and not providing adequate notification of the transfer of military aircrafts and combat jets from Russia to Syria.

The document states, "These violations did not pose a threat to the coalition forces."

In the same vein, according to the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), the Russian side is trying to oblige the United States to leave the northeastern part of Syria.

The authors of the document also believe that during the past three months, "Russia has continued to try to assert its influence with the Syrian Democratic Forces and to engage with the population in north and east Syria."

The report says: "Russia sought to present itself as a mediator for the tensions ongoing between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the forces allied with Turkey, but the Syrian Democratic Forces continued to reject the Russian offers."
