Afrin displaced: We are proud of Guerrilla's resistance

Today, dozens of Afrin residents living in Serdem camp in al-Shahba canton went out in a demonstration, denouncing the Turkish occupation army's attacks on the legitimate defense zones, stressing that whatever the Turkish state did, it would not be able to break their will.

Today, Serdem Camp Council in Ahdath district in al-Shahba canton organized a demonstration in which dozens of the displaced from Afrin participated to denounce the attacks of the Turkish occupation army on Zap, Avashin and Metina.

The participants gathered in the demonstration on the main road of the camp, chanting slogans saluting the resistance of the People's Defense, holding pictures of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and banners with "Long live the resistance of our heroes in the free mountains," "Victory in Zab, Avashin, Metina is the guarantee of the liberation of Afrin," "In the spirit of Gara resistance, we will destroy the occupation."

Upon the arrival of the demonstrators to the Camp Council, they held a minute of silence, and then a speech was delivered in the name of the Serdem Camp Council's Administration by the Administrator Hassen Othman, in which he said: “We demonstrated today in response to the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries' attacks on the legitimate defense zones, and to prove to them that the Kurdish people will continue struggling in all circumstances."

Othman added, "We always see that the Kurds are being subjected to conspiracies and attempts of extermination, as this started from the Euphrates east and cutting off water on civilians in the face of international silence, and now the Turkish occupation is trying in legitimate defense zones, but it will not succeed in that because all peoples are connected to the leader Ocalan's thought."

For her part, the Administrator of the Kongra Star in the Sardam camp, Salha Mohammed, said: "The Turkish state always tries to create wars in the four parts of Kurdistan, but we see that the Guerrilla in the Freedom Mountains are showing very great resistance and steadfastness in front of a large country such as the Turkish state and forcing it to withdraw from those mountains."

Salha added, "For the sake of that resistance, women carry their weapons with all will and strong determination, standing before the Turkish fascist state, and sacrificing themselves in order for this people to live in peace and security."

Salha concluded her speech by saying: "All the Kurdish people, especially Afrin Kurdish people, whatever the Turkish state does with them, it will not be able to break their will and the link between them and other peoples, especially our children in the mountains whom we are proud of their resistance."

Then the demonstration concluded by chanting slogans saluting the Guerrilla's resistance, and denouncing the Turkish occupation's attacks.
