Saleh Kado: International community must shoulder its responsibilities towards Al-Hol

Since the SDF eliminated ISIS/Daesh in its last strongholds in Al-Bagouz in Deir-ez-Zor countryside on March 23,2019, ISIS has sought to revive again through their sleeping cells of ISIS mercenaries with virus campaigns on an ongoing basis.

The Secretary-General of the Syrian Democratic Left Saleh Kado likened the Al-Hol Camp to a minefield, saying that "on a daily basis, these mines explode with those who are fighting in the camp against mercenaries (referring to the Internal Security Forces), and we have sacrificed much as a result of the presence of that camp in the area, and all States have the responsibility to do so.

Al- Hol camp has become a mercenary's school

He stressed the need for the World Powers to intervene in the issue of Al-Hol Camp and assume their responsibilities. All States had left their terrorists in the region without providing the necessary resources. " Thousands of mercenaries and terrorists are women and men present in that camp, which has become a school for mercenaries, but is nevertheless overlooked by international community."

And Kado said that: " The AANES has assumed great responsibility in Al-Hol Camp in military, economic and social terms, despite its limited potential, and this responsibility can only be assumed by major countries such as Russia, US and its allies."

Kado added: "Many regional States are assisting terrorists in the camp, including Turkey, where they are opening the way to enter Turkey and organize themselves in Turkey."

He stressed to all political parties the need to reach out to all countries of the world, to intervene in the issue of ISIS/Daesh within Al- Hol Camp and to find a solution to the problem: "The camp is home to thousands of Iraqis, witnesses killings, assassinations and crimes on a daily basis, but the Iraqi Government remains silent."

Al-Hol Camp in northern and eastern Syria includes more than 60,000 people, including Iraqi refugees, Syrian displaced persons and foreigners.

'Terrorist Training Headquarters'

On the dangers of Al-Hol Camp for world powers, Kado said: "The camp has become a training ground for terrorists by the Turkish state, and ISIS women and men are being trained in murder and other crimes, that is, to revive ISIS."

And concluded his speech, for the establishment of an international tribunal on the territory of northern and eastern Syria to try mercenaries living in the camp, and for this matter to be under international supervision, but those demands were not taken seriously on the pretext of non-official recognition of AANES. Adding: "We no longer accept the presence of these terrorists in the region."
