Occupation, its mercenaries destroy Yazidi cemetery in Afrin

The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries destroyed Sheikh Hamid Shrine for Yazidis in Qastal Jendo village, and they cut down old trees in its vicinity.

Sources from Shera district told ANHA that the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries dredged the shrine of Sheikh Hamid of Yazidis in Qastal Jendo village, and they also cut down perennial trees that were in the vicinity of the shrine.

The shrine is considered a destination for the Yazidi Kurds on occasions and eids to bless it, and it was destroyed several times by the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation, who exhumed it in search of antiquities.

This is not the first time that the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries have committed such crimes against the Yazidi cultural heritage, for after its occupation of Afrin canton, it demolished the Yazidi cemeteries.

The mercenaries also seized the largest Yazidi cemetery at the top of Mount Sheikh Barakat around the town of Darat Azza, and Turkey made it a control center, after removing the Yazidi monuments from it and placing an Islamic character on it.
