Autonomous Administration Council in Şengal holds emergency meeting

Despite all the demands of the components of Şengal and the Yazidi community, the Iraqi government and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) insist on the Baghdad-Hewler agreement to torpedo the gains of the Yazidi community.

Iraqi Government informed Şengal Protection Units that they must withdraw from Mount Şengal, in addition to leaving Asayîşa Êzidxanê Şengal as well.

In the context of the developments taking place in Şengal and the threats of the Iraqi Government and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) on Şengal province, the Council of Democratic Autonomous Administration of Şengal MXDŞ met today in the province in an emergency manner to assess the Iraqi threats against Yazidi community.

The meeting is held by attending the commanders of Şengal Resistance Units, Women's Units- Şengal, Asayîşa Êzidxan, in addition to representatives of the Yazidi Democratic Freedom Party and the Yazidi Women’s Movement.

It is supposed that the Autonomous Administration Council will release a statement to public opinion, after ending the meeting, which will continue to be closed to the media.
