2 martyrs bid farewell in Kobani

Hundreds of residents gathered in the Martyr Dijlah Cemetery, south of Kobani, to participate in the funeral ceremonies of the two martyrs of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mustafa Sheikh Muslim, the nom de guerre is Kendal Kobani and Yassin Afji, the nom de guerre is Jekdar Partizan.

The fighter Jekdar martyred during his confronting the attacks of the Turkish occupation army on Ain Issa on the 19^th of this March, while Kendal Kobani martyred while performing his military duty in the countryside of Deir Ezzor on the 18^th of March.

"Our fighters thwarted enemy's plans, its killed bodies were on the battlefield"

During the ceremony, the leader of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Hakki Kobani, delivered a speech in which he said, "The enemy wants to demoralize the people, but our fighters have thwarted the enemy's plans and now the bodies of their dead are lying on the battlefield in Ain Issa."

He added, "Our people have pledged to continue the struggle, and our martyrs today renew this covenant. We, as the Syrian Democratic Forces, renew the pledge to avenge the martyrs and follow their footsteps until victory is achieved and the occupied territories are liberated."

SDF commander concluded: "We are fighting the war of freedom, and if we do not achieve victory, we will not live a comfortable life, and we affirm that if our people do not unite with us, the enemy will not be negligent."

For her part, the Member of the Kongra Star Coordination in the Euphrates region, Hadlah Hassen, expressed condolences to the martyrs' families in a speech that she gave, and she that "without them, we would not have lived in safety and security."

She emphasized that "the enemy wants to rob our rights, but if we achieve our unity, the enemy will not be able to achieve its goals."

"We defeated the Ottoman occupation in Ain Issa"

The Commander of Tel Abyad Military Council, Riyad Al-Khalaf, participated in the ceremony, delivered a speech in which he offered condolences to the families of the martyrs "who have given their lives for the sake of humanity, freedom and co-existence."

He continued in the context of his speech, saying, "We sacrificed blood for the sake of liberating our lands from ISIS in the past, and now we offer blood for the sake of liberating our occupied areas from Turkey."

He spoke about the recent escalation in Ain Issa, where the council's forces have been responding to Turkey's attacks since several days.

He said, "I am pleased that our forces defeated the Ottoman occupation, and we would old not allow them to advance to Ain Issa and its countryside. I pledge to you and the martyrs, as we promised them previously, that we will follow their footsteps in order to liberate every inch of our Syrian lands."

Then the Martyrs' Families Council handed over the two documents of martyrdom of the two martyrs to their families, and the ceremony was concluded after the bodies of the two martyrs were buried in the Martyr Dijlah Shrine.
