TEV-DEM: Newroz would herald Ocalan release

Movement for a Democratic Society, the TEV-DEM, expressed congratulations to both Kurdistan and Mesopotamia peoples, on the Newroz Day, stating that this Newroz would create the ground for the release of leader Abdullah Ocalan as well as freedom of North Eastern Syria people.

Marking the Newroz Day and celebrations, a statement was released by TEV-DEM, reads as follows:

''On the Newroz Day, and with the victory attended on Mount Gara, we express our congratulations to our Kurdistan people as well as all Mesopotamia's, other components in the region, all families of martyrs that perished on the freedom course, all fighters on the honor and dignity frontlines, YPG, YPJ and the SDF fighters.

Newroz that is in essence the actual heritage of the will of the fighting and striving peoples against oppression and repression and against dictatorial thrones and against the tyrants of those days that were imbibed with peoples' extermination mentality and cultural denial as well as all communal ethical values.

The torch that Kawa the Smith ignited signaled victory and exterminated dictatorship and enslavement and heralded a new day and a new reign.

Newroz is very ancient and goes very deep into history, it is one of the most deeply rooted and valuable national days that promoted both society and will, and turned into a sacred heritage to all other Mesopotamia peoples up to date.

In the course of history our people is being celebrating Newroz as it was inaugurated on Mountains then inside jails up to cities and public squares in the whole Kurdistan and the world at large, owing to sacrifices made by our striving people in the face of tyrants and occupiers.

With the spirit of the 2021 Newroz , and in conjunction with the freedom reign, we would lay the ground for the release of leader Abdullah Ocalan and the freedom and the will of the North Eastern Syria peoples and to liberate all occupied areas such as Afrin, Sere Kaniye and Gire Spi, and others occupied by Turkish Occupation and mercenaries.

TEV-DEM is very confident of our people in North Eastern Syria and everywhere that they would join and participate massively in Newroz proudly imbibed with the victory attended on Mount Gara.
