The Human Rights Office, charged with following up on the claim of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, issued a written statement in conjunction with the 22nd anniversary of the international conspiracy.

The statement reads:

"Our client, Mr. Ocalan, has been held in a regime of strict isolation in Imrali for 22 years, and as is known, the isolation regime imposed on Imrali is a continuation of the international conspiracy, and this system was established illegally and turned into an institution."

The statement noted that neither the laws and decisions of the European Court of Human Rights nor the laws of the Constitutional Court and the reports of the European Committee against Torture have been complied with.

The statement also added: “Within the framework of the isolation system, the rights of family visits or meetings with lawyers and agents were restricted, in addition to the rights to books, magazines, television, correspondence, etc., and the right to telephone conversation was only granted once in 22 years.

Also, one of the most stringent laws in Imrali prison is the strict isolation that limits the rights to communicate and receive information, and during certain periods, Mr. Ocalan's link with the outside world was completely prevented.

Since the last phone call with his family on April 27, 2020, all information about him has been cut off, and he cannot be contacted.

The Human Rights Office noted that the legal and political implications of the isolation state confirm that the isolation system imposed in Imrali was not limited to prison only, but was imposed on the rest of society and the rest of the country.
