(KCDK-E) calls for the voice of political prisoners in Turkey to be heard to the world

The Kurdish organization said, in a statement, Thursday, that “the humanitarian resistance that thousands of Kurdish political prisoners began in 120 Turkish prisons, including political figures, journalists and representatives of the HDP, continues to escalate, receiving support and assistance despite all difficult circumstances against the isolation system in Imrali and the repressive practices imposed by the Justice and Development Party (AKP) government and the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) against political prisoners.

In its statement, it pointed out that all political, intellectual and artistic organizations and figures in support of freedoms and democracy called for "the political prisoners who are fighting this human resistance in Turkish prisons, to assume their responsibilities in the struggle against fascism."

The organization stressed the need for the detainees' voice to be conveyed to international human rights organizations, and said: “Among our urgent and duties and tasks is to seek to form public opinion, by becoming the voice of political prisoners and working to communicate their demands to world public opinion, the Committee Against Torture (CPT) and the Council. Europe, Amnesty International and all institutions of the humanitarian world. "

And it stressed "the escalation of the struggle against isolation and fascism and support for human resistance through various activities and events everywhere."

The Conference of the Kurdistan Democratic Society in- Europe called “institutions in Kurdistan and Turkey and all politicians, artists and intellectuals” to hold a central sit-in in support of political detainees, and said: “The first step begins with the central sit-in in the German capital Berlin on January 11 by reading a press release, and the sit-in will take the form of groups alternating periodically that change every five days, and include the first two groups; representatives of institutions and political, intellectual, artistic and cultural personalities.

And added: "The event will start on Monday, January 11, between the hours (13:00-15: 00) of every day in Alexander Plaza / Clock Square - Berlin, the capital."

The sit-in was considered "the voice of political prisoners."
