Explosion targets Aden airport with arrival of new Yemeni government

The explosion took place inside the Aden airport lounge before the ministers disembarked from the plane, amid reports of a large number of dead and wounded, according to Al-Arabiya Network.

The network confirmed that the explosion that occurred at Aden Airport was huge and accompanied by gunfire.

The new Yemeni government, headed by Moein Abdul-Malik, consists of 24 ministers, and faces a number of challenges, most notably the security challenge in the liberated areas, the integration of the security services as stipulated in the Riyadh Agreement, and the military challenge represented by the merging of military formations in the Ministry of Defense, in addition to spreading security in the interim capital, Aden, through the local police and the withdrawal of the camps from the city.

Besides, uniting and strengthening military efforts on the flaming fronts with Houthi groups such as Marib and Al-Jawf, confronting the violations of Houthi groups in Hodeidah and liberating the rest of the governorates with the support of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy.

The new government will be headed by Maeen Abdul-Malik, while Muhammad Ali al-Maqdishi was chosen as Minister of Defense, Major General Ibrahim Ali Ahmed Haydan as Minister of Interior, and Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs.
