​​​​​​​Solution to crisis in Middle East lies in Ocalan's ideas

While the leader Abdullah Ocalan was in Aleppo city, many people had the opportunity to meet him by holding meetings for them. At that time, the leader proposed the peace project among the Kurdish parties to unify their ranks.

The citizen Ahmed Aliko, known as "Abo Bangin" from Baadina village of Mabata district in Afrin canton, got acquainted with the Kurdistan Liberation Movement in 1986 via one of his friends known as "Yassin Qantara," and he had met the leader several times, and it was his first meeting with him in Ashrafieh neighborhood in Aleppo city in 1988.

The role of treason in denying existence

About his first meeting, Aliko said: "I was influenced by the leader's thought and philosophy a lot. The leader always talked about the history of betrayal, for which the Kurds have not obtained their rights yet. He praised the individual's role in preserving his language and culture from extinction, and he said: "Therefore, I decided to engage more in this movement, and I received training at the Masoum Qorqamaz Academy for a month and a half. In 1989, I was appointed as the administrator of Aleppo city until 1990 to organize the people."

Aliko continued: "The leader used to stress the unification of the Kurds who are always subject to massacres and murder, as genocide is caused by treason. He always spoke about the betrayal of Hassen Khairy Bak, referring to the Lausanne Agreement, when Khairy Bak stated that the Kurds were part of the Turkish nation, and they preferred staying within it, which led to the establishment of the modern Turkish state, ignoring the rights of the Kurds in it."

As for the citizen Jiyan Berkel, she became acquainted with the ideology of the leader Abdullah Ocalan at the beginning of 1988 and became involved in frontline actions despite the pressures from the Damascus government, but she devoted her life to spreading the leader's thought. She had met the leader several times, the first of which was in 1990 in a meeting held in Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood.

Jiyan recalls the leader's speech in those meetings in which he touched on the history of women and that they suffer from persecution and injustice by the authoritarian regimes as they are linked to their land, and the role of women in the Kurdistan Liberation Movement, as it opened the way for them to claim their stolen right.

Jiyan continued: "The leader also pointed to the need for national unity and the unity of the Kurdish parties in all parts of Kurdistan, and that a society that aspires to reach its freedom must unify its voice to claim its land and rights, as one will and one voice is what affects the whole world."

Jiyan added: "The leader from 1993 to 1998 launched peace initiatives for the territorial integrity of Kurdistan, recognition of the Kurds' identity among the peoples of the world and the development of solutions to the Kurdish cause, as he undertook initiatives with Jalal Talabani and the Turkish state, but his attempt did not bear fruit because it targeted the interests of the capitalist countries, which led to hatching an international conspiracy against the leader."

The solution to the crisis in the Middle East lies in the leader's thoughts

Jiyan mentioned that the leader had a distant view of Middle East issues through his analyzes, noting that the leader's democratic nation project proposed by the leader would be a solution in the Middle East. In Rojava, all components took of the democratic nation's project an approach to themselves.

Jiyan Berkel concluded her speech: "The leader's ideas about resolving the crisis in the Middle East are not in the interests of capitalist countries because that project poses a danger to them."
