Ministry Spokesman Tareq Arian said: "Ten rockets were fired from Lab Jar neighborhood in Kabul," and he made clear that three rockets landed near Kabul Airport and five in a residential area in the capital. He added: "Unfortunately, one person was killed and two others were injured."

Kabul police spokesman Firdaus Varamarz also confirmed the fall of the rockets, adding that most of them hit the eastern part of the capital.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, but the Taliban Movement denied any involvement in it.

On November 21, at least ten people were killed by rockets falling on the center of Kabul near the Green Zone, where there are embassies and international companies which ISIS later adopted, and in the past weeks it claimed bloody attacks in the capital, including the attack on Kabul University and another educational center, which resulted in more than 50 deaths
