Yazidis demand to let Şengal affairs to its AA

The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) is involved in internal issues related to the Yazidis, as on October 9^th, it concluded an agreement with the central government in Baghdad on Şengal.

The people of Şengal reject that agreement, and recall the desertion of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) forces from Şengal in the summer of 2014, and the Iraqi army remaining a bystander to the massacre committed by ISIS in Şengal, in which thousands of children, women and the elderly were killed.

In this context, Yazidis from Tirbê Spiyê expressed their rejection of the Hewlêr-Baghdad agreement regarding Şengal.

Berfo Qasim Hasakah indicated that they are looking forward to "unifying the Yazidi ranks in Şengal side by side with the Autonomous Administration, and preventing the disbanding of the Yazidi community by some of the exploiters of the Yazidi name."

Nabil Morad Berro said: "Nobody has the right to speak on behalf of the Yazidi community."

Orhan Omar mentioned that "what Şengal was subject to in 2014 is still continuing before the Yazidi community, and how the government of Başûr and Baghdad abandoned them." He added: "The Yazidi community is required to unify itself beside its administration that represents its identity and protects its existence."
