Kurdish politicians criticize PDK's unresponsiveness to KNK's call

Kurdish politicians in Rojava (northeast Syrian Kurdish-inhabited majority areas) indicated that the Kurdistan Democratic Party (PDK) failure to respond to the invitation of the Kurdistan Community Union (KNK) is because the party’s decision is not in its hands, noting that it is a disgraceful position that serves Erdogan.

The KNK met representatives of the political parties to prevent Kurdish infighting. KNK also sent invitations to the KDP's President, Massoud Barzani, the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, and Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, but it did not meet any response from them.

Unresponsiveness to KNK's call is hostile to the Kurds

Member of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in Hasakah, Shams al-Din Mulla Ibrahim, the PDK refused to respond to the call for dialogue in hostility to the Kurdish people.

Mulla Ibrahim KNK called on all parties, political figures and organizations in the Kurdistan region to discuss the current situation.

And he continued, "The meeting was attended by all the invitees except for the Kurdistan Democratic Party and without responding to the invitation that he received from (KNK) to attend the meeting."

He called on the KDP to retreat from its wrong policies, saying, "The mountains are not the only friends of the Kurds, the unity is."

Abd al-Karim Siko: Erdogan's interest lies in ENKS unattendance

The Secretary of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, Abdul Karim Siko, stated that it isa disgraceful position that the KDP has not responded to the call which is trying to come up with a Kurdish agreement. It is a subject of frustration for the Kurdish people.

"No family or clan has the right to decide the fate of millions of Kurdish people to satisfy the interests of the enemy, unfortunately, this happened in Kirkuk," Siko added.

He explained that: "The Kurdish people have a great opportunity, and thousands of martyrs have been offered for it. History has no mercy to any treachery that goes out against the Kurdish cause."

He said that not attending the invitation of the Kurdistan Conference is in the interest of Erdogan and against the interest of the Kurdish people, who see with their eyes those who push their military forces to escalate the fighting of brothers, and the Kurdish people should not yield to those who try to erase their entitlements that were gained thanks to the blood of thousands of martyrs.
