Kochavi inspected the forces of the Golan Division deployed at the borders and made a general assessment of the situation. He also spoke with commanders and soldiers in the northern military region about the army’s preparedness for all scenarios.

In his speech, the Chief of Staff stated that his visit comes to closely examine the latest developments in the field situation at the borders, especially with regard to the "Iranian positioning", recalling in this regard that the Israeli army announced ten days ago that it had discovered a field for explosive devices in the Golan and that it carried out raids on Iranian targets.  Allegedly in Syria in response.

He continued: "Our message is clear:" We continue to work with the required force against the Iranian position in Syria, and we are continuing to be fully prepared against every aggressive attempt that targets us. "

This comes after several mutual attacks between Israel and pro-Iranian forces in Syria, while the region is witnessing a state of tension following the assassination of one of the most senior Iranian nuclear scientists.
