Saudi companies give excuse for Investment in Iraq

Iraqi Agriculture Minister, Mohamed Khareem al-Khafaji, has revealed, today, that Saudi companies gave an excuse for investing in Iraq.

The official newspaper ''al-Sabbah'' quoted al-Khafaji as saying : ''Saudi companies expressed desire for setting up cattle farms on 10,000-50,000 dunams, in al-Muthanna, al-Anbar and al-Najjaf governorates, but the Water Resources Ministry confirmed it's inability to supply water sustainably for 50 years, on which the Saudi companies gave an excuse to conduct such a project''.     

Lately, there has been endeavours to improve Saudi - Iraqi relations, that aroused fears at some Iraqi parts close to Iran.
