Russian Defence Minister arrives at Yerevan

Armenian media outlets have reported that Sergey Shoygu, Russian Defence Minister, has arrived to Yerevan today, within a ministerial delegation, to hold a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, after RUSSIAN peacekeeping forces were deployed to Karabakh.

According to sources inside the Armenian Government, Shoygu Has arrived at Yerevan, as Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov and deputy prime minister, Alexander Novak and others, are expected to arrive, making clear that the Russian delegation is expected to hold, today, a meeting with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan .

This comes after Shoygu had announced that deployment by the Russian peacekeeping forces in the Artsakh/Karabakh was done, where it started duty in accordance with the ceasefire agreement concluded lately by Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia. 

Earlier on Friday, Russian president Valdimir Putin had said that '' the settlement in Karabakh concerns Russia, of which the guarantee of the internal security'', while Lavrov warned of efforts to impede application of the agreement.

On November 9th, a Russian -brokered comprehensive ceasefire agreement was signed between Azerbaijan and Armenia regarding Karabakh.
