The Democratic Party continues to move its military forces in Guerrilla forces' regions in Southern Kurdistan, as these movements are considered as a preparation for war. The political parties in parts of Kurdistan denounced the Democratic Party's alliance with the Turkish state to occupy Southern Kurdistan, and called on the party to stop mobilizing its military forces, and called for the Kurdistan Community Union and People's Defense Forces to dialogue and understanding on the issue.

The Spokeswoman for the Foreign Relations Committee of the Kurdistan National Congress, Nîlufer Koç, spoke to our agency about the efforts to spark the Kurdish fighting and the crisis in Southern Kurdistan.

The aim is to eradicate the gains of Rojava and Southern Kurdistan

Nîlufer said that Erdogan is making strenuous efforts to eliminate the gains of the Kurdish people, the peoples and components of northern and eastern Syria, seeking at the same time to eliminate the existing administration in Southern Kurdistan.

She added: "On many occasions, Erdogan said in his statements that the existence of the Federal Kurdistan Region in Iraq is a problem for him, and he says that he made a mistake in 2003 and that mistake must be corrected. Several Turkish military bases have been established in Southern Kurdistan, and now the Turkish state is seeking directly, whether via its military forces or with the help of the Kurdistan Democratic Party's forces, to occupy Bhdinan line. Within the same framework, the Kurdistan Democratic Party concluded an agreement with the Iraqi government regarding Şengal, as Şengal is considered an essential part of the plan to eliminate the region."

The plan to occupy Rojava is being applied to Southern Kurdistan as well

Nîlufer Koç noted that the issue is not only related to the internal war, or the war between the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), and added: "The main issue is that the Turkish state is seeking to ignite the Kurdish forces against each other to pave the way for the implementation of its occupational plan in Kurdistan. In Rojava Kurdistan regions, it tried to implement this plan via ISIS mercenaries, but it did not succeed. It also tried to carry out this plan by cutting off water and power, assassinating the clans' leaders and notables, occupying Afrin, Girê Spî and Serêkaniyê, and now is implementing those schemes in Southern Kurdistan.

After progress in efforts to unify the Kurdish ranks in Rojava, the Turkish state has been seeking to consolidate and deepen the division among the Kurds in order to prevent their unification and the reinforcement of their strength, as it sees its inevitable death in the Kurds' unification. Because of these policies, the Turkish state is weakening and retreating over time, and it is also living in a state of diplomatic isolation in the world. Although the Turkish state is in a state of crisis, and all countries see this clearly, the Democratic Party is working to reinforce the strength of its enemy, why?

We must be sure that the Turkish fascist state is living its last stages, and therefore we should not be a reason to prolong its life, and if we reach consensus and understanding on some matters, we will be able to defeat this fascist state faster."

The war in Başûr will lead to burning Kurdistan as a whole

Nîlufer said that the Kurdistan Democratic Party is the only party that does not see the defeat of the Turkish state, and added in this regard: "Europe is now heading to take a decision on Turkey, and public opinion is putting pressure on countries to allow Erdogan to organize and prepare mercenaries against Europe in mosques, and allow Turkey to exploit European democratic laws in order to form fascist societies, which led Germany to ban fascist societies associated with the Justice and Development Party and the Turkish Nationalist Party, after they had been previously banned by France, and a similar trend by Austria and the Netherlands as well.

These pressures on Erdogan will escalate, and we, Kurds, have to turn to the international diplomacy against the Turkish state and benefit from it. The Kurdistan Democratic Party supports the Justice and Development Party, while the Justice and Development Party is a weak party. If the Democratic Party is allied with the PKK, the parliament is managed democratically, and the Democratic Party effectively participates in it, then there will be great opportunities for the Kurdish people in Northern Kurdistan, Rojava and Eastern Kurdistan at the global level.

The opportunity is now available to form a force for us, and if we remain divided, then our power will be defeated. For this very reason, the occupying countries are working to impose a policy of "divide and conquer" in Southern Kurdistan, and if the war breaks out there, it will not be a "fratricidal war" because there is a party sided with the occupiers, and this war can lead to the burning of all of Kurdistan. At the time, the issue that now appears to be an issue between two parties will become an issue of hundreds of world powers. We must not work to sponsor our killer."

Understanding must be with Baghdad, not Ankara

On the hostile policies and stances pursued by the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Nîlufer Koç said that right and wrong do not equal, and also added: "During the 20th meeting of the Kurdistan National Congress, the congress focused on the need to reveal the wrong positions, given the stage in which we are witnessing, as well as the declaration of right positions.

From now on, truth will not equal wrong, we must not say that they are our brothers because these brothers have been seeking since 10 years to eliminate the gains of Rojava, and they are also an obstacle for the people of Southern Kurdistan, as Southern Kurdistan is experiencing a crisis from all sides.

Why is the Democratic Party working to undermine the relations between it and the Baghdad government? The right place for understanding for all forces in Southern Kurdistan is Baghdad, not Ankara. Perhaps America seeks to impose Turkish control over Southern Kurdistan in cooperation with the Kurdistan Democratic Party, as America is acting in accordance with its interests, but we must act according to our interests."

We must not put gains at risk for the sake of miscalculations

Nîlufer Koç noted that the federation in Southern Kurdistan constitutes an important and great support for the rest of Kurdistan. She said: "Many massacres are committed in Afrin, Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî, women are subject to rape, and efforts of Turkification and demographic change escalate, all of these matters are war crimes, but we cannot file lawsuits in this regard against Turkey because there is no official entity for the Kurdish people, but in Southern Kurdistan, there is an entity within the Iraqi borders, the Southern Kurdistan entity is an important opportunity for the Kurdish people, and no single party should pose a threat to this entity due to miscalculations."

So far, the Kurdish entity has not been fully established in Southern Kurdistan. If a clash erupts among Kurds, Baghdad will escalate its policies against them. We should not take care of "Hitler" among us, rather, all Kurds should take a unified stand and demand the retreat of the Kurdistan Democratic Party forces and the removal of the Turkish forces, as the Turkish forces are present in Southern Kurdistan with the approval of the Democratic Party.

Regarding the continued attacks against Heftanin, Garê and other areas in Southern Kurdistan and their connection with the current incidents in Rojava, Nîlufer said: "They have tried to impose surrender on Rojava by various means. In Southern Kurdistan, they seek to fuel internal fighting among Kurds in order to occupy the border strip between Southern Kurdistan and Rojava, and then eliminate two parts of Kurdistan, and now these attacks are being prepared for.

Rojava and Şengal's fate are bound together

Nîlufer also touched on the issue of Şengal agreement, as well as Şengal people's resistance: "Our people's resistance in Şengal against the agreement is very important, and our people in Rojava must support this resistance because the fate of Şengal is linked to the fate of Rojava."

The National Council will side with the national policy after correcting Hewlêr's policy

In her speech, Nîlufer indicated that the fate of the Kurdish people is linked to each other more than ever before, and she continued: "After the occupation of Kirkuk, the turn came to Afrin, and for the national unity talks to succeed, the Kurdish policy in Southern Kurdistan must focus on criticizing the Democratic Party's policies.

The National Council does not act of its will, as it heads once to Istanbul and once to Hewlêr and Qamishlo, and in order for the National Council to fully align itself with the national policy, the policy must be corrected in Hewlêr, at which time Istanbul will not be able to influence the Kurdish National Council.

If the national conference had been held, the Kurdish people's situation would have been different

At the conclusion of her speech, Nîlufer Koç touched on the topic of the Kurdistan National Congress, and said: "If the congress had been achieved in 2013, the Kurdish people would have had a different situation, and if Massoud Barzani had not taken sides with external forces, the situation would have been different, and all of those martyrs would not have martyred in Rojava, nor Şengal would have been attacked by ISIS mercenaries, there must be a comprehensive Kurdish position, and if the Democratic Party does not respond to the efforts of national unity, we must tell it that we can achieve this without the Democratic Party."
