AANES delivers 30 children to Russia

Based on the continuous appeals of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria regarding the need for European countries to restore their citizens who were among the ranks of ISIS mercenaries, and who were detained by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), in addition to their families in the Autonomous Administration camps, and from the humanitarian standpoint, today, 30 children were handed over to the Assistants of the Russian Federation President's Commission for Child Rights.

A closed meeting was held between the two parties, and the Co-chair of the External Relations Department of North and East Syria Abdel Karim Omar, his two deputies, and the deputy of the Women's Commission in al-Jazeera region Darya Ramadan, and from the Russian side, the Assistants of the President of the Russian Federation for Child Rights, "Larisa Nikolaevna and Elena Alexandrovna" attended.

During the meeting, the two parties signed a document to receive and hand over the children, and then a press conference was held.

 The Co-chair of the External Relations Department of North and East Syria, Abdel Karim Omar, welcomed the delegation, and said: "We have delivered 30 orphan children from ISIS families to the Russian Federation President's Commission for Child Rights. We, in the Autonomous Administration, believe that those children's place is not in the camps, and they have to live in a safe environment, and that the presence of these children in ISIS' camps will build a new generation of terrorists."

On its part, the Russian side thanked the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria for its cooperation in returning the orphan children to their homelands.
