Demonstration in Şengal

Tens of people took to the streets in Sinune District of Şengal, protesting at a visit by a delegation from the Federal Government to Şengal, to meet representatives of the Autonomous Administration of Şengal, that don’t recognize Hewler- Baghdad Agreement.

On Monday morning, a Federal delegation made up of National Security Counselor, Qasem Al-A'raji, secretary of the National Security, Hamid Al-Shutari, deputy to Nineveh Operations Commander and representative to the Nineveh governor, arrived at Sinune.

At the time of the meeting between the Federal delegation and representatives of the Autonomous Administration of Şengal, tens of people took to the streets in front of the building where the meeting was held, raising anti Hewler- Baghdad Agreement slogans, and saluting resistance.

This comes hours after an aerial bombardment by Turkish UAVs was carried out on a village at the outskirts of the Sinune District, that witnessed yesterday evening a popular demonstration against excluding the will of the people of Şengal, where photos of hundreds of martyrs, who sacrificed their lives in the liberation war of their city against ISIS mercenaries, were raised.
