Azerbaijan controls strategic Shusha

Azeri president, Ilham Aliyev, announced, on Sunday, that his forces have controlled the strategic Shusha city in the disputed Karabakh region with Armenia.

In a TV interview, Aliyev said that the Azeri flag is fluttering in Shusha, adding:'' Shusha belongs to us! And so is Karabakh! I congratulate all Azeri people on this''.

Lately in the day, Armenian Defense Ministry said that violent and decisive battles are ongoing to take control of the strategic city that was described by the unrecognized president of Karabakh and backed by Yerevan, Arayik Hartonian as the ''pulsing heart of Armenians''. 

According to the Russian outlet 'RT', Shusha which is 10km away from the self-proclaimed capital, Stepankirt, (Khankindi) is about to fell into the hands of the Azeri Army, amid clashes on streets.  

Clashes between Armenia and Azerbaijan erupted on September 27th, and though three ceasefire agreements were announced, yet the war is still raging due to Turkish incitement and transferring by it of Syrian mercenaries to Karabakh to fight on the side of Azerbaijan.
