PDK endeavours to hand over Kirkuk

Leader in the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, the PUK, Ibrahim Jalal, has said that the intra Kurdish infighting being spurred by the Kurdistan Democratic Party is within Turkish agendas, and that forces being mobilized into border areas to fight Kurdistan Workers' Party are not Peshmergha.

This came in an interview with the Rojnews Agency with writer and former member of the Central Council in the PUK, Ibrahim Jalal to shed light on latest developments in Southern Kurdistan.

PDK tries to hand over Kirkuk

Jalal noted that PDK has been trying to fight Kurdistan Workers' Party, the PKK, but it had other impedes, adding '' I think, that PDK did not launch war on PKK because it did not had the ability, so it waited the agreement with the Federal Government, to exclude the PKK from Şengal, and control the area, that eases controlling mountainous areas to Qandil''.

Jalal noted that PDK wants to hand over Kirkuk to Turkey in exchange for keeping ties, for it notified the PUK on the probability of forming the two administrations in Kurdistan on condition resources be portioned between the influence zones( green and yellow), but the PUK rejected the idea''.

PUK not part in intra Kurdish Infighting

Jalal confirmed that PUK will not be a part in an intra-Kurdish infighting, saying:'' the PUK endeavors to dissuade the PDK from any intra Kurdish infighting, and does not want to be a part in that, if breaks out, the PUK opposes this alleged war, on which it sent a message to PDK that it would suffer immensely. 

Peshmergha not ready

Answering a question on moves by the PDK of forces in areas close to posts held by Guerrilla, Jalal said:'' unfortunately, that forces are not Peshmergha, the Peshmergha forces did not go to Şengal neither to Bahdinan, for they evacuated such areas wilfully to the PKK, of which  was Şengal''.
