Kurdistan Democratic Party deploys forces from Soran to Duhok

Lately Kurdistan Democratic Party, the PDK, has deployed forces in villages in the Soran Province extending to the village of Barzan, in the governorate of Duhok in Başûr Kurdistan, and set up security checkpoints at the entrance of each village.

According to a local source told the Roj News Agency, forces affiliated to the Kurdistan Democratic Party, known as Presidential Office Forces and the Asayiş of the party, have been deployed lately in a number of villages horizontally from Khilefan in the Soran Province to the village of Barzan, in the governorate of Duhok, including tens of villages.

The source pointed out that those forces set up security checkpoints at the entrance of every village on this line and that it checks the identity of every one passes, noting that they are loaded with heavy and light weapons, and that shepherds are not allowed to stay at pastures at night, and are asked to leave the area before sunset.

This procedures come in a time where leading figures in the Kurdistan Democratic Party hint, in their statements and media, at the probability of an Intra Kurdish fighting, due to Turkish pressure on the party, according to observers.
