Turkey has lost 20 billion $ due to the popular boycott in Arab area, according to economic specialists talked to Al-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper.

The newspaper quoted specialists in the Saudi private sector as admitting that it was easy for them to get products instead of the Turkish ones confirming that Saudi Arabia has a very big industrial value that covers foodstuffs, constructing materials and equipment, commodity industry and consumer products, that enable it to secure the local value and fill any deficit in imports for any reasons or problems in future that may be caused by economic and political orientations.

Dr. Lu'ay Al-Tayar, specialist in the private sector, confirmed to the paper that '' stopping exports from Turkey affects directly the Turkish economy, for the Saudi market is the biggest for Turkish products in different sectors such as clothes and furniture and other products, and these losses, according to Al-Tayar, would be a heavy burden on leading politicians in the face of local community.

In this relation, the Saudi economist Marwan Al-Sharif said that '' changes on the economic map on the Turkish side, after the popular campaign to boycott consuming Turkish products would consolidate the ability of the local industries that are specialized in furniture industries and luxury products which are able to fill any deficit in the coming period, and the local market would be open for very highly valued products with competitive prices to the Turkish ones''.

Many Arab countries, such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE, Morocco and Libya have witnessed popular boycott to Turkish products after the invitation that was launched by the head of the Saudi Commerce Chamber, Ajlan Al- Ajlan, in the ongoing October, to boycott Turkish products in a reply to '' continuation of the Turkish government's enmity against the leadership and people of the Kingdom''.
