ANCA asks Washington to suspend selling of drones' equipment to Turkey

The Armenian National Committee of America has sent a letter to the U.S. State Department to suspend selling of spare parts to the Turkish drone Bayraktar TB2, according to news website ARMEINA PRESS, 

The ANCA sent an urgent call to the U.S. State Department office that is responsible for acceptance or rejection of foreign weapons selling.

The Turkish Bayraktar TB2, which were used on a high scale, to attack and kill civilian Armenians, in Artsakh/Karabakh and Armenia. 

The letter in question that was sent to Clarke Copper, aide to Secretary of State for Political and Military Issues in the State Department, reads: 

''It is obvious now that Turkey, reacting to Canada' decision on October 5th, 2020, to suspend certificates of exporting weapons due to Ankara's clear participation in the on-going Azeri attack on Artsakh and Armenia, tries to manipulate this embargo by asking an urgent U.S. admission to sell spare parts of Bayraktar TB2.    

Turkey's demands must be rejected, and an overall American embargo has to be announced on the selling or transferring American military equipment, or double use equipment to Ankara whenever it arms and backs Azeri groups, the State Department has to investigate immediately into Arms Export Control Act and other violations to the American rules related to selling, the letter concluded."
