The Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan believes that the countries of the region should take a more serious attitude towards what he described as "terrorist mercenaries" in Karabakh, according to the Russian news agency TASS.

Pashinyan accused Turkey of "transporting terrorist mercenaries" from Syria to Karabakh to fight alongside Azerbaijan.

He added, "Unfortunately, the countries of the region have not responded to this reality seriously enough so far, doubtlessly, presence of foreign terrorists will pose a threat to the region in the future, and the countries of the region must deal with this issue more seriously."

The Armenian authorities have repeatedly said that Turkey is directly involved in the conflict in Karabakh, and the Armenian leadership also believes that Ankara is not only sending its military personnel to help Azerbaijan, but also transferring mercenaries from the terrorist groups it controls in Syria to the conflict zone.
