From Manbij.. “We will defeat occupation, fight for peace”

The march began with the participation of members of the institutions and committees of the Democratic Civil Administration in Manbij and its countryside and the people of the city, in front of the Hamdouni gas station in the east of the city and reaching the Al-Jazeera roundabout.

The participants carried flags of the Women's Council, the Future Syria Party, and banners reading "The blood of the martyrs, a beacon of freedom," We defeat the occupation and protect the revolution, and pictures of the martyr Havrin Khalaf.

Upon the arrival of the participants to the Al-Jazeera roundabout, they stood for a minute of silence, after which several words were delivered, including a speech on behalf of the Future Syria Party (Manbij branch) made by the head of the party Adab Abboud and said: “A year has passed since the assassination of the martyr of peace with an operation they called“ Peace Spring ”.

Aboud added, "The aim of these attacks is to plunder the peoples. A year has passed, but we are still alive and we are still resisting to defeat the occupation and protect our revolution, the revolution of brotherhood of peoples and coexistence."

For her part, the official spokeswoman for the Women’s Council in Manbij and its countryside, Ibtisam Abdel Qader, said: “With a strong will and tall raised heads crowned with jasmine, we remember Hevrin and all the women of Syria and the world who fought."

She noted: These alleged operations are nothing but targeting the entity of women and their essence, in which our territories occupied by the Turkish state are witnessing horrific crimes against women.

In a speech on behalf of the Council of Martyrs' Families, Council member Warda Al-Ahmad said, "We meet today in this place and denounce the criminal act that the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries have undertaken in the cities of Serêkaniyê / Ras al-Ain and Girê Spi / Tal Abyad, who displaced the safe people in their homes."

"We do not forget the role of women who were and are still resisting in order to liberate their lands, because their resistance is the biggest resistance in the regions of north and east Syria," Warda Al-Ahmad indicated.

The event also included the opening of a park named "The Martyr Hevrin Khalaf" in the Al-Jazirah Roundabout, east of the city, where the park tape was cut by the mother of the martyr, "Ali Sher", Adla Ibrahim.
