Bomb drone headed for Saudi Arabia intercepted and destroyed

The Arab Coalition declared today that they have intercepted and destroyed a bomb drone, launched by the Houthi related to ''Ansar Allah'' group and that is backed by Iran towards Saudi Arabia.

Colonel Turki al-Maliki, the official spokesman for the coalition forces in Yemen said that the joint coalition forces had intercepted and destroyed a drone launched by the ''Ansar Allah'' Houthi group to hit deliberately residential areas and notables in southern area.

Earlier, the coalition had declared it had foiled '' an imminent terrorist attack'' by the Houthis in the southern of the Red Sea, adding the coalition discovered and destroyed a bombed and teleported boat near al-Sulaif in Yemen.

Indicating to the continued threats of the ''terrorist groups'' on the sea navigation lines and the global commerce both in southern Red Sea and in Bab al- Mandab straits. 

Ten days ago, the pro- Yemeni government coalition aviation targeted military convoys and sites related to Houthi groups in the Directorate of Sarwah in the province of Ma'rib, and destroyed two Katusha platform sin al-Dhiq valley in the same directorate.

Adding the coalition is bound to destroy the capabilities of the Houthi groups that threaten the regional and international security.

From time to time, the Houthi ''Ansar Allah'' group launches rockets and drones towards southern Saudi Arabia.
