A Kurdish woman detainee in Iran's prisons transferred to hospital after going on hunger strike

The health condition of the Kurdish political detainee, writer and researcher Mojcan Kausi from Rojhilat"East Kurdistan" has deteriorated after her hunger strike for 16 days, and she was transferred to the hospital for treatment.

A Kurdish politician and researcher, Mojcan Kousi, who is being held in Evin prison, went on a hunger strike to protest against the practices of the authorities inside the prison since September 1 of this year.

Days after the strike, her health condition deteriorated, without anyone from the authorities hearing her demands, and the political prisoner insisted on continuing her strike.

According to what was reported by the "Hrana" human rights website in Iran, after the current deterioration in health, the Iranian authorities had to transfer Mojcan to the hospital for treatment.

The Kurdish politician and researcher Mojcan Kousi was arrested on May 22, 2020, and transferred to Noshehr Central Prison, and then transferred to the women's wing in Evin Prison in Tehran on July 22.
