To sign the peace treaty ... bin Zayed arrives in Washington

And the Emirati news agency, WAM, reported that Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan is visiting the United States on behalf of the President of the State, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and at the invitation of US President Donald Trump.

The Emirati Foreign Minister visited Washington at the head of an official delegation that includes senior state officials to participate in the signing of the historic peace treaty, on Tuesday, in the presence of the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.

The Israeli Prime Minister had said on his Twitter account that "the signing ceremony will be the basis for the peace treaty between Israel and the Emirates" that was concluded last August.

Netanyahu added, "I have the honor to travel next week to Washington to participate in the historic ceremony that will be held at the White House to establish a peace agreement between Israel and the UAE."

The peace agreement between the UAE and Israel was widely welcomed, due to its contribution to establishing peace in the Middle East.
