Tension between Lebanese army and demonstrators in front of Baabda Palace

The confrontations began after some young men tried to cross the human barrier that the security forces set up to separate the civil movement demonstration from those organized by the supporters of the "Free Patriotic Movement" of the President of the Republic.

While these young men threw stones and sticks to the security forces, they fired in the air in order to drive them away, in order to avoid a clash between the demonstrators from both sides.

The security forces had asked the supporters of the "Free Patriotic Movement" to retreat to the depth of the presidential palace road, in an attempt to leave a separation distance between the two demonstrations in which the security forces would be present, to prevent any clash between the two sides.

And the army command announced in a statement on "Twitter", that the army personnel are working to form a human barrier to separate the two demonstrations in the vicinity of the Republican Palace and are forced to shoot in the air after demonstrators threw stones and beat them with sticks and tried to reach the Republican Palace.
