The case of the rape of the young woman, Ipac Ar in Ilih, by a Turkish police officer named Musa Orhan, which was a source of widespread indignation among feminist organizations and women.

Today, the members of the Kongra Star met in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in front of the conference center in the west of the neighborhood, and there they observed a minute of silence on the spirit of the young woman Ipac Ar.

After that, the administrator of the Berishan Rashid Women's League delivered a speech in which she indicated the need for the unity of all women in the face of authoritarian capitalist regimes that work to deny the rights of women, and stressed that they will work with all their energy to continue the struggle to stop these practices that target women.

To condemn the rape incident, the women and members of Kongra Star burned pictures of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Interior Minister Suleiman Soylu along with the picture of Officer Musa Orhan.

While crimes against women increase in Turkey, the Justice and Development Party (AKP) is considering withdrawing from the Istanbul Convention against Violence Against Women.
