The Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said in a statement that El-Sisi met on Wednesday with the commander of the Second Field Army, the head of the Armed Forces Engineering Body, and the Armed Forces Financial Affairs Body.

During the meeting, El-Sisi instructed "to continue to maintain competence and the highest levels of readiness and combat readiness to carry out any tasks entrusted to the members of the armed forces to protect Egypt's national security in light of the current challenges in the region."

The Egyptian President praised the "great capacity that the Egyptian armed forces enjoy in all branches, specializations, and armament systems."

This speech is not the first of its kind during the past few months, as El-Sisi has previously mentioned the strength of the Egyptian army on more than one event.
