Helicopter of Turkish occupation shot down by Guerrillas

According to the text of the statement published by the Media Center of the People's Defense Forces today, Monday:

Within the framework of the revolutionary campaign of the martyrs Bager and Ronia, our forces carried out on the 16th of this August at 10:00 am a military operation in which they targeted a Skorsky helicopter in Charchila Square in Zagros region. Our forces managed to inflict a direct hit and shot down one of the Turkish helicopters.

And after 10 minutes of shooting down the first helicopter, our forces managed to hit a second Skorsky helicopter and forced it to flee towards the Gever area in the Kurdish state of Colemêrg.

This operation was carried out in memory of the spirit of the martyr commander Agid Karzan and two Iraqi army officers who were martyred in an air strike by the Turkish occupation army.

During the battles on last July 23^rd, between our forces on one side and the Turkish occupation army on the other hand, our fighter comrade Zelal Seidem rose to the rank of martyrs.

During the battles against the Turkish occupation state in the Haftanin area, our fighters bravely resisted in defense of Kurdistan. From the first day of the revolutionary battles of the resistance of Haftanin, comrade Zelal fought heroically against the Turkish occupation. She displayed unrivaled resistance against the fascist state's soldiers until the last shot. The comrade joined the ranks of the martyrs on last July 23^rd, during her participation in the battles of the resistance in Shishdarai Square.
