Politician: Turkish attack on legitimate defense areas targets Kurdish unity efforts

A few days ago, the Turkish Occupation announced an attack on the legitimate defense areas (Midia) in southern Kurdistan, Başûr, with the participation of air and ground forces.

"The regions that Turkey is invading now, are inhabited by people who have basically fled the oppression of the terrorist organization ISIS. This proves that Turkey has begun to show its true face." Abdi said.

"Turkey is afraid that these people will organize themselves in the areas of legitimate defense. So it is doing all it can to prevent the Kurdish people from obtaining any political or military gains," he added.

He saw that "Turkey dispensed with the proxy war and started launching invasions after knowing the failure of the factions and mercenaries that plunged them into its war in both Syria and Libya."

Abdi expressed his surprise at the international silence regarding the crimes of Turkey in the region, despite thousands of documents and evidence by international reports, in addition to the reports of human rights organizations that prove Turkey's involvement in crimes against civilians in the invasion in northeast of Syria.

Abdi called on the Kurdish political parties to highlight their serious stance towards the crimes of Turkey against the Kurdish people in all of Kurdistan.

He stressed the need for the Kurdish communities residing abroad and the Kurdish people in Syria, Iraq, Turkey and Iran to encounter these crimes.

Mustafa Abdi, a member of the General Council of the Democratic Union Party in the Euphrates, assured that "the Turkish invasion came to strike the recent endeavors for unity of the Kurdish row after the development in the Kurdish political."
