Autonomous Administration congratulates Syriac Assyrian Chaldean people on Easter

The Autonomous Administration of the North and East of Syria issued a written statement on the Easter (the feast of the Christ Resurrection), which falls on Sunday, 19 April 2020, according to the Eastern Calendar.

The statement read:

"On the Easter (the feast of the Christ Resurrection), which falls on Sunday, 19/4/2020 according to the Eastern calendar, we offer in the Autonomous Administration of the North and East of Syria the most beautiful congratulations and good wishes to the Syria Assyrian Chaldean people and to the general Christians in Syria and the world, hoping that God will restore it to all with good and peace.

"We are receiving the feat this year under difficult circumstances as a result of the Corona pandemic, but this does not prevent us from commemorating this holiday and its legacy, as well as the grace of this sacred occasion, which demonstrates the authenticity of the traditions and customs of the peoples of this region, in the hope of overcoming this emergency health crisis that the world is going through next Christmas."
