Deputy of Head of the media department in Yemen's Southern Transitional Council, Mansour Salih said in a special statement to our agency that the recent revelations of the Libyan National Army spokesman Maj. Gen. Ahmed al-Masmari that Turkey is seeking to coordinate with the Brotherhoods of Yemen to transfer the most dangerous extremists from several countries with attractive salaries to Yemen confirms Turkey's efforts to strike at the security of the region.

Salih said Turkey is seeking a foothold in the Aden Gulf and the Red Sea, and is trying to transport and smuggle terrorist elements from several countries to Yemen.

Saleh stressed that Turkey recognizes the importance of the Aden Gulf and red sea regions for regional and international security as well as for global security and economy. Today it coordinates with its allies in the region against the Arab project that opposes the terrorism and extremism that disturbs the security, stability and threat the freedom of navigation in the region.

He also noted that Southerners "oppose the terrorism and extremism supported by Turkey and Qatar and are fighting a fierce war against it and have achieved great successes in this direction".
