Gado: UN, US and Russia should take serious stand against Turkish ongoing attacks

"There is a popular turmoil in Turkey while Erdogan is trying in all ways to cover up his failure through his attacks on the people of the northeast of Syria," he said, stressing the need for the United Nations, Russia and America to take serious positions on the ongoing Turkish attacks.

The Turkish occupation state has kept attacking the northeast of Syria since October 9, 2019, despite a ceasefire agreement between Turkey and America on October 17, 2019, on October 22, 2019, UN appeals following the Corona pandemic outbreak in the world, and the Syrian Democratic Forces declaration of commitment to all agreements.

At a time when the entire world is preoccupied with confronting the Corona pandemic, the Turkish state of occupation is busy expanding its influence and occupying more Syrian territory. The Secretary General of the Democratic Left-Wing Party, Saleh Gado thinks that Turkey aims to export its internal crisis abroad through its attacks, as well as to end any democratic project.

"The Turkish state under the Justice and Development Party (AKP), is known for its policy of the hostility and the export of its internal crises abroad through these attacks," Gado said.

Erdogan does not pay attention to the international calls

Gado explained that Erdogan's policies failed as his recent attacks on northern and eastern Syria try to cover up his worsening home crisis as much as possible. "There is in Turkey a popular turmoil. So Erdogan is trying in all ways to cover up his failure by attacking the northeast of Syria."

Referring to recent appeals and calls for fighting COVID-19, he said: "The international organizations, human rights and the United Nations holds the biggest responsibility towards the Turkish attacks in light of the pandemic outbreak. Erdogan does not heed the calls and exercises his dirty policy against northeast of Syria, Libya and Somalia."

Erodgan dirty policies tarnished Turkey's image in front of the world

He noted that Erdogan is taking advantage of the world's preoccupation with the Corona issue to expand his occupation, saying: "Erdogan with his dirty policies is moving towards the abyss and tarnished Turkey's image in front of the whole world."

He blamed America for the events of the northeast of Syria, saying: "America is responsible for what happened in Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî and Turkish practices following the US withdrawal from there."

"The UN and EU should not condone Erdogan's violations against the people of northeast of Syria. Russia should also correct its policy with Turkey, and not make covert deals with Turkey against the rights of the people of the region," Gado said.

He called on all forces, parties and organizations in northern and eastern Syria to increase the pace of the struggle and rally around the SDF, work to bring the voice of the people of the region to the world, and expose Turkish policies and violations.
