​​​​​​​Corona deaths around the world are close to 109,000

The United States topped the death toll, after the number of deaths reached 20,071, according to figures published by the Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins University.

The university indicated that the number of infections reached 519,453 cases as of 19:00 GMT.

While the total number of deaths in Italy reached 19,468 from 152,271 infections, in Spain 16,353 deaths from 16,182 infections, France 13,832 deaths from 129,654 infections, and the UK 9,875 deaths from 79,891 infections.

On the Arab level, the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population announced, on Saturday, that the total number that was registered with the new corona virus until today, is 1,939 cases, including 426 cases that have been cured and came out from the Isolation Hospital, and 146 deaths.

In Syria, 6 new cases of Coronavirus were recorded, bringing the number of cases registered in the country to 25, including two deaths, according to Syrian government statistics.

While the total infections in Palestine reached 268 cases, including two deaths, and 46 recovery cases.

Sudan recorded two cases of coronavirus, bringing the number of confirmed cases to 19, without recording new deaths, except for the previous two deaths.

The total number of deaths in Europe on Saturday at 19:00 GMT, 73948 deaths out of 89,8,273 infections.

In Asia, there were 4,734 deaths and 134,227 infections, in the Middle East 4,649 deaths and 96,597 infections, Latin America and the Caribbean 2,381 deaths and 57,797 infections, and Africa 726 deaths and 13,297 infections.
