The people of Qamishlo city take a number of precautionary measures after the outbreak of the Corona epidemic around the world, and to ward off the threat of the emergence of the Corona virus in northern and eastern Syria, the Autonomous Administration declared the curfew in all the regions of on March 23 which will last for 15 days and may be extended..

Among the measures taken are not to form gatherings, to wear masks and gloves, use sterilizers and detergents periodically, ventilate the house and expose the house to sunlight, maintain the personal hygiene, wash hands frequently and other precautionary measures.

In this regard, we monitored the measures taken by the people in the neighborhoods of Qamishlo city to protect their family members from this epidemic, which has become a street talk not only in the regions of north and east Syria, but in all parts of the world.

Badia Amin thanked the Autonomous Administration, its committees and the Internal Security Forces for all the measures and decisions they had taken to prevent the emergence of the Corona epidemic, and indicated that the major countries could not control this epidemic that invaded the world and claimed the lives of thousands of people.

Badia Amin made it clear that 80% of the residents adhered to the decision issued, and the people must join hands and help the Autonomous Administration at this sensitive stage, and stay in their homes to ward off the emergence and spread of this virus.

Regarding the measures that they take within the house, Badia Amin pointed out: "Every morning, we secure our daily needs in the permitted periods of wandering around, as the curfew did not include foodstuff stores and bakeries," noting that some families secured their supplies and what they needed before imposing the curfew.

Badia Amin drew attention to the fact that some merchants took advantage of this opportunity and raised the prices of products and foodstuffs, and said: "Some stores sell items to the people at different prices without regard to the humanitarian cases." She called on the concerned bodies to take strict measures against them."

As for Thurayya Jumaa who lives in al-Huleiliyya neighborhood of Qamishlo city, she stressed the need for people in the region to be cautious to prevent the emergence of the Corona epidemic. She said: "Countries where the Corona virus has spread in did not manage to control this epidemic in spite of the capabilities available to them, and because our regions are not eligible to deter this virus, people should be careful and cautious, whether in their homes or in their neighborhoods."

We follow the health and medical instructions

Thurayya Jumaa pointed out that her family consists of 8 individuals, takes all precautions and follows health and medical instructions issued by the Health Body and doctors to protect the family members, and said: "We use sterilizers, clean the door handles with alcohol to eliminate bacteria, bath children daily, and wash clothes with warm water."

Thurayya Jumaa confirmed that her family members do not leave the house except for the most urgent necessity, and she explained that they generally depend on the supplies stored to them so they do not have to leave the house.
