​​​​​​​A women's clothing tailor turns to sew gags

Most of the countries of the world are suffering from the spread of the Corona epidemic, and they are making every effort to stop the great and rapid spread of it.

With the spread of the epidemic, the demand for gags, one of the methods recommended by doctors to prevent the transmission of the deadly virus infection, has increased.

The increased demand for gags caused the rise of their prices and the reduction of quantities offered in pharmacies.

In a humanitarian initiative, the tailor Shoresh Sheikh Dawood from Qermani village, 6 km west of ed-Dirbasiya district, manufactures the masks and distributes them free of charge to the people of his village to protect themselves against the Corona virus.

Sheikh Dawood sews 200 masks daily and sterilizes them with medicinal materials with the assistance and supervision of a specialist.

Shoresh Sheikh Dawood told Hawar agency: "After the spread of the Corona virus around the world, the lack of masks in our regions and their high prices, I saw that it is necessary for me to make the masks myself and distribute them for free to the people of my village and everyone who needs them."

Sheikh Dawood added: "Before the appearance of Corona, I was working on detailing women's clothing, but after the Autonomous Administration issued several decisions to protect the people from the virus and the announcement of the curfew, I thought of serving the people to contribute even a small part of the work to prevent the spread of the Corona virus in our regions, so I tailored the masks."

Sheikh Dawood explained that he is doing this work with the help of a companion from his village, and he continued saying: "We work together to detail the masks and sterilize them properly with the advice of a specialist."

Sheikh Dawood assures that they will work to prepare the masks for the rest of the neighboring villages.

Ahmed Selo, Sheikh Dawood's companion at work and from the same village sterilizes the gags. He said: "At first, we sterilized the room where we manufactured the gags, and then we sterilized the gags in the correct medical form."

As for the people of the village, they expressed their happiness and gratitude to the son of their village, and they thanked him for his humanitarian initiative, wishing him success in his work.
