Civilian checkpoints in al-Shahba prevent outsiders’ entry to canton

The Crisis Cell in al-Shahba district has assigned groups of civilians in the canton’s villages to erect checkpoints to prevent the passage of cars and foreigners to their areas in anticipation of the entry of people infected with the Corona virus into the canton.

The displaced Salah al-Abdullah who is residing in al-Ahdath district of al-Shahba canton pointed out that they formed barriers on the main and secondary roads to prevent people and foreign cars from entering the region.

Abdullah added: "We do not want this epidemic to outbreak in our regions, so we take shifts from 7:00 am to 20:00 in cooperation with the villagers, and we appeal to all the people to stay in their homes and not go out."

Mohammed Amouri who takes a turn at a checkpoint in Fafin district of al-Shahba canton called on the people to adhere to the instructions and implement the required procedures to contribute to preventing the emergence of this epidemic in our regions.

These barriers perform educational tasks by guiding the parents to ways to prevent the Corona virus.

The displaced Mohammed Ejjo who is residing in Maaret al-Meslemiyya village said: "We are warning the people of our villages not to go out, to postpone all visits and to stay at home to prevent this epidemic. We must all cooperate and help each other to prevent the virus."
