Kobani Provincial Council demands special committees to investigate Turkish violations in Afrin

18 March marks the second anniversary of Turkey's occupation of Afrin in 2018.

In this regard, the Kobani Provincial Council issued a written statement, of which Hawar News Agency obtained a copy, stating:

"The occupation of Afrin by the fascist Turkish state and its mercenaries entered its third year, this occupation that caused the killing of hundreds of civilians and the massacres of its people, and the displacement of the indigenous population, in front of the eyes of the whole world, especially the Arab countries that have always stressed in their meetings and conferences the need to preserve national sovereignty for every country.

The Turkish occupation forces and its mercenaries invaded Afrin and occupied the city of Al-Bab, and because the angry Turkish state mastered the restoration of the glories of the Ottomans and its National Charter, in January 20, 2018, it bombed Afrin and launched an aggression against it, which was met with a heroic resistance that was not equal by its people, the resistance continued for 58 days, and it continues embodied in the special heroic operations targeting Turkey's mercenaries from terrorist factions and soldiers of the occupying country.

Afrin was occupied, but it did not and will not fall, despite the fact that the fascist state is bringing all of its terrorists from Syria, and from all its regions, where those regions have been bartered with Afrin, in agreement with the regime with dirty bazaars at the expense of the Syrian people in general and the Kurdish in particular.

We in Kobani canton strongly condemn this fascist aggression against the areas of northern Syria, and we demand special committees to investigate Turkish violations against our siblings and international peacekeepers to ensure our people return to Afrin.

Shame and disgrace to the Turkish aggression and its mercenaries, glory and eternity to our righteous martyrs and the speedy recovery of our wounded.
