Afrin people: We will resist until Afrin liberation

On these brutal attacks on the civilians, and the massacres in Turkey, most recently in Tel Rifaat massacre on December 2, 2019. Dozens of civilians, mostly children, were killed, Hawar news agency monitored the views of Afrin displaced in the areas under bombardment.

Our steadfastness will fail the Turkish plan.

"The Turkish plot that targeted Afrin, aimed at emptying the area of its original inhabitants and settling others there. We will not give up the resistance and defend our land. We will stay here in our land until it is liberated," he said. .

 "The steadfastness and survival of Afrin people here in the areas of Al-Shahba, and their refusal to move away from their land will fail the Turkish plan, that is why we are witnessing daily shelling Shehaba and Shirawa  areas for intimidating the people and pushing them to leave here again," he said.

International organizations should intervene to stop the Turkish massacres,

 Hevin Alloush, a resident of  Meydana village, adds: "Turkey and mercenaries have committed terrible massacres against civilians since the start of the attacks on Afrin. When the Turkish bombardment targeted civilian areas, forcing the people to flee to the areas of Al-Shehaba to protect themselves."

"To this day, the Turkish occupation is trying to get us out of here through the daily bombardments of Shirawa district and the areas of Shehaba canton, what does Erdogan want? Isn't it enough with all those massacres? What did Tel Rifaat eight children who were killed in the Turkish shelling do?" " did they hold weapons?" he said.

 Hevin appealed to the international organizations and institutions to intervene: "Where are human rights and the states that claim to defend human beings? Why don't they put an end to Erdogan's massacres and the extermination of the Kurdish people?"

We as Afrin sons won't give up for the Turkish occupation.

"The Kurdish people is a peaceful people. They have not attacked anyone, but we all know the history of the Turkish state and how it was built on the blood of the indigenous peoples of the region, and we affirm that the era has changed and we have become possessed a lot of awareness"  Hussein Murad said, a resident of village in Karka village in Mapata district. "There is a lot of awareness, so we will not allow the Turkish occupation to continue this genocide against our people and the region." 

Murad denounced the attitude of the world community towards the Turkish occupation, and its silence about the massacres, saying: "Turkey, which is hostile to the democratic system established in northern Syria and Afrin, began to attack the region under the nose view of entire world. It  aims at eliminating any democratic system in the region and exterminating the Kurds."

Hussein Murad stressed the continuation of the resistance by saying: "We, the sons of Afrin, will not bow to the Turkish occupation, Turkey sends its missiles to us on a daily basis in order to intimidate us and force us to leave here, but we confirm that we will not leave, and resist until the liberation of our land from the occupation." 

We will resist until the last breath

The citizen, Izdihar Ibish from Basofan village in Shirawa: "Our people in Afrin have shown great resistance against the Turkish occupation and mercenaries, and we say to the Turkish occupation "enough" is enough brutal practices against the Kurdish people, our people have the power and the will and we will resist even the last breath."
