On Saturday, the Follow-up and Relations Committee formed within the political forum held in Kobanê city on December 12, 2019 visited the offices of a number of political parties in Rojava in Qamishlo city with the aim of unifying the Kurdish-Kurdish discourse.

Today, the Committee started its first rounds at the offices of the political parties, and the delegation of the Follow-up and Relations Committee that came from Kobanê city to Qamishlo city included Masoud Mohammad, Kurdo Quti, Perwin Battal and Leyla Aboud who are representatives of the political parties and independent personalities elected to the membership of  Follow-up Committee at the political forum held in Kobanê city.

The delegation visited the offices of a number of political parties in Rojava, including the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, the Kurdish Progressive Democratic Party in Syria, the Kurdish Democratic Party in Syria (Party) and the Democratic Union Party.

These visits aim to unify the visions, position and discourse of the Kurdish Political Movement in Rojava after the initiative launched by the General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi. This initiative that the Kurdish street awaits and hopes its success.

The delegation's first tours started with a visit to the office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria in the center of Qamishlo city, and it explained to the party the reasons for their visit.

The member of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria Mohsen Taher confirmed in a statement to our agency that they are working to open their offices in Rojava regions, and said: "We hope that we can achieve the Kurdish national unity among the Kurdish Political Movement in Kurdistan Syria."

Taher said: "We must unify our position in order to be able to join hands with our people in the crucial stage we are going through and the occupation of the region whether at the regional level or at the international level."

Mohsen Taher indicated that dispersion and fragmentation are rejected by the Kurdish street. Therefore, other political parties must accept unity and partnership, adding: "The unity of the Kurdish rank is carried out through three basic factors; political, administrative and military, so we must work together in the three frameworks, accept the unity and work to achieve the benefits of the national unity."

The member of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria Mohsen Taher said at the conclusion of his speech: "History says that one party, no matter how strong it is, will not triumph, but when all parties unite, then victory and success will be achieved, as well as the Kurdish rights and cause."

After completing the visit of the office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, the delegation headed towards al-Seyahi neighborhood, where the office of the Kurdish Progressive Democratic Party in Syria is located.

In a statement to our agency, the member of the Central Committee of the Kurdish Progressive Democratic Party in Syria Fares Othman announced the position of their party, and said: "We support the initiative of the Committee and are ready to do everything that falls to us. After the occupation of Afrin, we wanted to achieve the national unity among the political parties, but that did not succeed."

Othman considered the initiative of the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces Mazloum Abdi as good, and expressed his hope that this step would succeed and that the Kurdish Political Movement would unify its ranks.

The Committee also visited the office of the Kurdish Democratic Party in Syria (Party), and the delegation was received by the party’s administrators and members. The Secretary of the Party Nasruddin Ibrahim asserted in a statement to our agency: "We support this step and are ready for everything necessary for its success."

Then, the delegation visited the office of the Democratic Union Party in Qamishlo, and it was welcomed by the joint head of the party Shahoz Hassen.

The Democratic Union Party confirmed that they are the first political parties that advocate the achievement of Kurdish national unity, and the Party stressed the need for Kurdish political parties’ unification, and said: "When the national unity is achieved, they will stand more forcefully in the face of the Turkish occupation army to take it out from the regions it occupied in the north and east of Syria."

On the results of the visits of the Follow-up and Relations Committee, the member of the Committee Kurdo Quti made clear that they visited several political parties, and stressed that everyone is ready to achieve the Kurdish national unity, noting that there is a susceptibility among the political parties to work together in the sensitive circumstances the region is going through.
