Regime controls al-Eis town, gets closer to international road

The regime forces controlled the strategic town of al-Eis, where a Turkish observation point is existed, and thus approached the Damascus-Aleppo international road with a distance of 15 km.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated that the regime forces with Russian support made a new strategic progress represented by controlling the strategic town of al-Eis and its hill in the southern countryside of Aleppo after it had surrounded the town from 3 axes after dominating Bans village, and that the mercenaries had withdrawn from the town.

With its control over al-Eis town, the regime forces have taken control of the most prominent areas that remained on their way towards completing control of the entire Damascus-Aleppo international highway, as only several villages and sites with an estimated distance of about 15 km remained.

With the regime taking control of al-Eis town, the Turkish observation post in the town has been encircled.

This comes in conjunction with the arrival of a Russian delegation to Turkey to discuss the situation in Idlib after a major escalation between the regime forces and Russia on the one hand and Turkey on the other hand.
