Regime advances in Idlib, Russian delegation reaches Ankara

Violent clashes continue on several axes in the southern section of Aleppo countryside between the mercenaries supported by Turkey and the regime forces within the framework of the regime forces' attempt to fully control the Damascus-Aleppo international highway.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the regime forces have made new progress which is represented by its control of Om Ataba, Rasm al-Eis, Rasm Sahrij and Jeb al-Kass, while a few regions remain for the regime forces to completely control the M5 highway.

The Observatory confirmed that the Russian aircrafts bombed sites of the Turkish mercenaries in the south and west of Aleppo city.

On Saturday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry threatened the regime forces again and said that it will respond vigorously to any new targeting of the Turkish observation points deployed in Idlib.

In the same context, a Russian delegation arrived at the Turkish Foreign Ministry in Ankara, as it includes an assistant to the foreign minister, military officials and representatives of Russian intelligence to discuss the situation in Idlib.
