Abdullah Ocalan, absent but present in heart of  Kurdish people

In coincidence with the anniversary of the international and regional conspiracy against the Kurdish people leader, Abdullah Ocalan on October 9, 1998, the east district district council in of Qamishlo city held a lecture about the plot, in al-Joudi neighborhood.

 The lecture was attended by the people of the eastern community, members of the civil society organizations, internal security forces, and members of Kongra Star.

The lecture began with a minute of silence followed by a 45-minute Sinvizon presentation which displayed excerpts of the international conspiracy against Kurdish leader, Abdullah Ocalan. The administrator in Kongra Star in the city of Qamshlo, Azar Afrin spoke: "The thought and philosophy of the leader pushed many to participate in the plot because it was a threat on their interests in general, and enslaved the peoples of the Middle East for their personal interests. He aimed to liberate all the oppressed peoples. so these countries plotted against him that led to the leader's abduction and extradition to the Turkish authorities."

Afrin also stressed that "the leader aims with his idea to save all the oppressed people aside the Kurdish people. The leader started with the Kurdish people, because it is the most oppressed in the Middle East."

Afrin noted that the Turkish occupation aim from the intense isolation of the Kurdish people leader Abdullah Ocalan is to exterminate the Kurdish people, noting that Ocalan took the Kurdish people out of the authoritarian regimes and charted the path of salvation and freedom for them.

 The lecture concluded with the echo of the slogans that revive the struggle and resistance of the leader, Ocalan.

It is worth mentioning that the Democratic Union party in association with the Kongra Star will hold a similar series of lectures in all neighborhoods of Qamishlo til February 12th.
