The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the town of Saraqeb is witnessing  dozen raids of heavy air and ground bombardments , rockets and missiles, in conjunction with clashes in the vicinity of the town between the regime forces and mercenaries, after regime forces got about 1 km from it, and imposed a fire collar on it from 3 directions.

Regime forces made new advances in the eastern countryside of Saraqeb town and  managed to control Islamin, Al-Rasafa and Abu al-Khasha, in addition to the village of Tel al Toufan, that contains a Turkish point.  The fate of the Turkish soldiers is not known yet whether they were besieged as  in Idlib and Hama. A fierce attack by regime forces to advance and take control of the town of Sarmin accompanied, according to the Observatory.

Regime forces were also able to enter the administrative border of Aleppo governorate from Idlib's eastern countryside, and took control of Zamar, Athmaanda and Jazaya south of Aleppo city. 

Regime escalation comes after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan renewed today his threats to the Syrian regime and ordered him to withdraw  behind what is known as Turkish observation posts until the end of February, threatening  to attack .
